This blog post is about reminding folks dj’s are running a business. Their equipment costs money & their music requires constant updates. There are folks that believe djs should just give their services away because their charity is worth the dj’s support & should understand. Please understand we understand that there is a reason for all charity & non-profit work but if part of the money you are raising goes to staff then you need to realize that the dj is part of your staff that day. One thing to think about is would you go to work & not get paid for it? No you would not. I also want to say this, djs will do charity events once in a while as they want to build exposure. You will find dj will do trade for advertising as well. This way you create a win win. You just need to remember dj services are businesses & should be given the respect for just that!
