If you have ever gone out to hire a service for an event, you will run into a wall of sales people all saying the following: They are the best and book with them. In the dj world you will run into companies that book multiple dj’s. They will do the hard sell for volume of work andand even those they may say the word quality you have to think about what their main goal is. The harder the sell the more you should think about who you are hiring.

Here are a few tips to think about;

1. How long have they been in the business?

2. Look on line to see their reviews

3. Did you meet your dj or know who your dj is at the beginning?

4. Are they trying to sell you a bunch of extra’s you don’t need?

5. Are they focused on telling you how to run your event?

6. Are they listening to you?

7. Price is always a factor but if the price is to low it may not be a bargain?

Think about these ideas! It is your event & the idea is to have fun & not add stress. What ever services you go with always think about if they have your interest in mind or is it theirs? These are a few things you should keep in mind when hiring a dj or for that matter any service for your event.

One last thing, the service that is doing the soft sell will more than likely give you advice & ideas to think about in your area. They want your business too but they know they can’t do every event in town!
