This is a new concept within the last few years. There are pro’s & con’s to this idea, I think. The pro’s to this are building energy & getting folks excited about the party to come. To set the mood & get the wedding party ready as well. The song should always be upbeat & fun. Another reason is to keep the room warm. In other words keep people involved & focused on the event it’s self.
The con’s are few but still should be thought about. The music needs to be lower than the introductions being made. The song becomes filler and normally will not be played all the way through. If the song is to cheesy you run the risk of your event not being taken in a good light. I’m not saying the song will make or break the event but if your introductions are important to you no music might be the best way to go.
Your big day needs to be thought about as special and not a game show which things like the grand entrance can portray. If you are going to have a Grand Entrance song make it fun but special. Just my thoughts about this idea.
