So you are going to the big bridal show this weekend! Are you ready to be sold by everyone in the building? That is what they all will be doing. Do you know what questions you want answered? Is there a service you still need & can’t find? All great questions & all need answers before you go to the event. Remember these folks feel they can help you make your event to be the best. They will put on the show before the show!
The first thing you should do is look who will be at the show. Are any of the folks at the show services you have hired or have talked to already. Are the services you need at the show. Are you bargain shopping to find the cheapest price. Now get a list of who will be there. If there is someone you want to meet see if their contact information is in the guild or if there is a website see if the list is there. Now go a head & contact them & let them know you are going to the show. This way you get a better idea of how to work the show. Don’t pick up information from every vender! Most of the time you will trash it once you get home. Only take information from businesses that you are thinking about hiring. Once you get all this information remember to write a to do list when you get home on who you want more information on.
Your at the show take your plan & work the room. Ask then businesses your thinking about hard questions. Have they ever had a problem at a wedding & how did they fit it. If they say they never had a problem then that will lead you to one of two ideas: They are a brand new company just starting out or they are not being truthful! You need to know the company your hiring is real & is proactive. You want to know they know how to handle all situations & can make sure your event rocks. If all they are doing is selling you & get you to almost sign a contract on the spot STOP! You have to check their backgrounds. You don’t buy a car with out a test drive or a used car report so don’t hire a group on the spot without knowing more about them.
Each service can tell you just about anything you want to hear. Dj’s in the market can get any song you want without spending a ton of money. Most services have access to the same ideas as well. It comes down to service, nothing more nothing less. They either know their job or don’t. It is up to you to take your time to know what you want & the focus of the services your hiring. Take you time at the show don’t hire on the spot. Make sure you pick the right service to help you make your day rock! It is the only wedding you get most of the time 🙂
