I wanted to touch a pone the subject of referring & promoting other dj’s in your network. The fact is we can’t do every wedding, We can’t book every event & the fact that not all events are a good fit for all of us. To improve your business, I believe referring & promoting other dj’s you “Like-Know-Trust” Is very important! The key is to make sure they feel the same about you. If they do then you know when they have business to refer you will be on their top 10 list to call. If however it is not mutual then only refer when there is no one else to refer to or not at all. In the club market dj’s do have ego’s but if they understand you could be a source of income from time to time then it is a different story. If they have their heads in the game they will give you a shout out once in a while to. In my social media I like to watch and see who is doing what in the market. If it’s someone I know & trust I will do a shout out once in a while to show support. I believe this is the way it should be done. Support your team so they will support you!
